An absolutely beautiful 1841 O better date seated liberty half dollar graded AU 58 by NGC. It carries a great strike throughout both sides with very attractive original toned surfaces.
The obverse holds some blue and purple toning around the rim with a golden colored tone covering the majority of the rest of the obverse. The reverse also holds some golden toning but is mostly a light grey color. A very appealing coin that is seldom offered in this grade level. This New Orleans Mint coin holds a low mintage of only 401,000. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 700 have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 25 graded About Uncirculated 58 by NGC.
